Drey Vision Marketing
Drey Vision Marketing, a digital marketing agency, came to Masterful to get more out of organic search and to start showing up when buyers ask AI tools for recommendations. The goal was straightforward: turn an existing website that was already live into a page Google could read, rank, and send qualified visitors to, and make the brand citable by the answer engines its buyers increasingly ask first. We ran the work on the current site first, where the fastest wins were sitting, while a ground-up rebuild gets underway in parallel.
The numbers
Three metrics moved over the engagement, each measured against the site’s own baseline before we started.
Page visits rose by half. The click-through rate on the queries we targeted climbed 45%, meaning more of the people who saw the listing actually clicked it. And the site’s average ranking position improved by 80 places off its starting point, moving target pages from where almost nobody looks onto the first results people read.
AI citations, in six weeks not six months
The standard timeline for results like ranking and AI search citations is around six months. Drey Vision Marketing reached the citation milestone in six.
Through a set of targeted technical changes, the brand went from being cited in 18 AI prompts at baseline to roughly 40, so answer engines started naming it in more than twice as many of the questions its buyers actually ask, and it happened in six weeks rather than the usual six months. That side of the work is our AEO practice.
What we changed
The lift came from compounding small, correct decisions rather than one trick. The work split across two fronts.
Content
We rewrote and restructured pages so each one answered a specific question a buyer actually searches for, with the headings, depth, and internal links that tell Google what the page is about. Thin and overlapping pages were consolidated so the site spoke with one clear voice per topic instead of competing against itself. Better-matched titles and descriptions did the work on click-through rate: the listing finally said what the page delivered.
Technical
We fixed the foundations that let Google crawl and index the site cleanly: site health and crawlability issues, page structure and metadata, internal linking, and on-page performance. None of it is glamorous, and all of it is the difference between a page Google can rank and one it skips. These were the changes that moved average position the furthest, because they unblocked pages that were already good enough to rank but were being held back by the site around them.
Alongside the content and technical work, we tracked movement against the baseline throughout, so every change could be tied to what it did rather than guessed at.
What’s next
Everything above was achieved on Drey Vision Marketing’s existing website. A new site, engineered for search visibility from the first line rather than retrofitted onto it, is currently underway. The rebuild carries the same discipline into the foundation itself, so the next round of gains starts from a stronger base. You can read how we approach that in web design built to be found.
